It’s Michael Miller time! They introduced their color stories at the Spring Quilt Market, and this time around there are more groups and more fabrics in each group. The Michael Miller Studios collections are still organized by theme — the color stories provide another way to group prints (and their new Cotton Couture solids) together [...]
Robert Kaufman has some exciting new basics. (And I know you’re with me when I call basics “exciting.”) My favorite for sure is the new Essex cotton-linen yarn dyes. The denim color wants to be paired with something Colette. Next, there are 16 new Quilter’s Linen colors, bringing the total up to 42. Quilter’s Linen [...]

Art Gallery Fabrics impressed with its prize-winning booth and lovely new prints. I spoke with Pat Bravo, who walked me through all that Art Gallery had to offer. The Little One collection by Katie Hennagir is also 100% organic and coordinates with the Pure Organic Solids. Pick a Bunch by Nancy Mims (Mod Green Pod) is also 100% [...]
I will admit that I have been putting off these posts because there is just so much to write about! The folks at Robert Kaufman had tons of new stuff to show at market and were very excited to share it all. One corner of the booth featured Kaufman’s Kona solids and the quilts created [...]
P&B has expanded its line of affordable solids, Color Spectrum. The lines includes some great chartreuses, greys, and blues. The P&B Rep said that the company is going to make efforts to make the color card more widely available which should help all of us become more familiar with the Color Spectrum solids. I am [...]
Art Gallery Fabrics has always been known for their beautiful, sophisticated, modern, floral-centric collections designed by Patricia Bravo, but this season’s offerings are taking up the gorgeousness to an even higher level, I think. I especially love Coquette, perfect for spring dresses with soft, Liberty-esque florals. Above is the Powder Room palette, and below is [...]
Remember meeting Alyssa Thomas of Penguin & Fish? And the news that she has a fabric collection coming out with Clothworks? Well, not only do we now have a name (Safari Sweet), a preview, and a release date (August 2011), but also news that the collection is the first for a new organic brand that [...]
