Let’s not forget about Anna Griffin‘s fabrics in the excitement over Blend. Honoka, meaning “harmony flower,” is “an elegant collection of antique Asian patterns and original Japanese silk screen prints. Symbolic subjects like dragonflies, fish and flowers create a harmonious balance of patterns for sewing enthusiasts. The color palette of steel gray, plum, gold and [...]
Luluca is a mini-collection from Kokka on their new 61″ wide, lightweight 85% cotton-15% linen blend. This fabric is suitable for apparel, quilts, crafts, and light home dec. Spotted at Purl Soho.
Here’s a sweet little reproduction collection on a cotton-linen blend from Kokka. See the three other colorways on the Seven Islands site. I haven’t seen this in shops yet, have you?
Not sure when these will be out, but I’m loving this collection of (vintage reproduction?) small-scale geometrics from Kei called Geo Style. There are a few more prints, and all the prints come in several colorways, and you can see them all here.
I didn’t think that Kei Fabric had a website, but thanks to this post from Super Eggplant, I’ve been set straight. (The links on the front page don’t seem to work in Safari — here’s an internal link from which you can access everything though.) I’m excited that I’ll be able to keep better tabs [...]
Here’s a simple black & white retro floral, from the Mono Cloth collection by Yuko Furutani for Daiwabo. It also comes in black on white. From Japan Lovely Crafts on Etsy.

I’m loving the ric-rac stripes and am thinking if Superbuzzy (where I spotted the collection) made a fat quarter pack of all the colors I’d totally buy it. Hint hint, Kelly! I’m [...]
I thought this was pretty and a bit unusual for Japanese fabrics. Mushroom Wave is available in three colorways from Superbuzzy.

These were a mix of quilter’s cotton, home dec weights, and cotton linen blends. The repeats on a few of them were up to a yard long.

I was getting a bit giddy knowing I was going to get to see a lot of Japanese companies at Market. Now that these companies are procuring US distribution and attending trade shows like Market, they are a lot easier to find. Still — there’s nothing like thumbing through stacks of textiles that I am [...]
