Here’s a peek at Tina Givens‘ next collection, Haven’s Edge. There are three colorways, her signature dramatic/fantastic style rendered in a bright, saturated palette, and … voiles! For you us voile fans, the bottom photo shows the prints — a sophisticated floral and a coordinating geometric trellis print. Haven’s Edge will be in stores soon [...]

Fall Quilt Market 2010 – FreeSpirit – Tanya Whelan

I can’t get Tom Jones’ song out of my head when I look at Tanya Whelan‘s new collection Delilah — the two don’t go together at all, but I still like the juxtaposition! Delilah (the fabrics) is already available in stores, except, I believe, for the laminates.

Fall Quilt Market 2010 – FreeSpirit – Jane Sassaman

Jane Sassaman is being her usual wild, weird, cool self with Garden Divas. The print above is especially gorgeous, isn’t it? You can see all three colorways (Exotic, Pastel, and Peacock) on her website. Garden Divas is scheduled to be in stores this month.

I’m even more excited for Denyse Schmidt‘s new collection, Greenfield Hill, now that I’ve seen it up close. Her geometric prints are always so perfectly simple and versatile and sweet. And the 3-Dness of the big floral print (the topmost print in the bottom photo) is really gorgeous. Above are the voiles, which you can [...]

Fall Quilt Market 2010 – FreeSpirit – Tula Pink

Can I just say? Meeting Tula Pink for the first time had to be one of the highlights of this market for me. She is hilarious and awesome and her tales of living in the rural Midwest had me rolling on the floor at the Fabric 2.0 party. And of course her booth to promote [...]

Fall Quilt Market 2010 – Windham – Bari J.

The illustrious Bari J. had her first booth at market to show off her latest fabric collection Country Lane and her scores of sewing patterns (including four new ones), and to preview her beautiful-looking book that comes out in early 2011. I knew Bari was a handbag-maker before she began in fabric design, but I [...]

Fall Quilt Market 2010 – Art Gallery Fabrics – Recent Collections

Art Gallery Fabrics‘ booth display was dedicated to showing the inspiration behind designer Pat Bravo’s three most recent three collections, and inspiration for sewing with it. Dreaming in French got a whole parlor to itself. She had me at macaroons. Outside the parlor were two gigantic mood boards showing the inspiration behind Modern Affair and [...]

Timeless Treasures: Petit Village

Here is a closer look at Petit Village from Timeless Treasures, which was featured in yesterday’s New Release Tuesday post. I just think it’s so delightful — a little bit folksy cute, a little bit hippy, a little bit mod.

New Release Tuesday

Dream On by Urban Chiks for Moda yardage is in stores now! Word on the street is that despite the fierce internet love, this collection didn’t do as well with traditional brick & mortar shops, so not a whole lot of it was printed. If you like it, snatch it up quickly!   City Weekend [...]
