Here’s a peek at Tina Givens‘ next collection, Haven’s Edge. There are three colorways, her signature dramatic/fantastic style rendered in a bright, saturated palette, and … voiles! I can’t get Tom Jones’ song out of my head when I look at Tanya Whelan‘s new collection Delilah — the two don’t go together at all, but I still like the juxtaposition! Delilah (the fabrics) is already available in stores, except, I believe, for the laminates.
Jane Sassaman is being her usual wild, weird, cool self with Garden Divas. The print above is especially gorgeous, isn’t it? You can see all three colorways (Exotic, Pastel, and Peacock) on her website. Garden Divas is scheduled to be in stores this month.
Jennifer Paganelli‘s newest is called Queen Street, and it features her signature blend of bohemian/psychedelic and traditional in a bright, bold palette. It’s in stores now, except for the laminates (bottom photo), which should follow shortly.
Now we’ll look at Robert Kaufman‘s newly released and upcoming designer collections. First, Suzy Ultman‘s entry in the ongoing Metro Cafe line, which is just arriving in stores now. Wow, I really thought I’d be able to get through all the Quilt Market coverage before Thanksgiving, but we’ve still got a good week to go! I hope you aren’t bored with it yet. I got to site down with Benartex for the first time ever … VP of Marketing Susan Neill showed me their [...]
I got to meet Diana Mancini, creative director for Blank Quilting, and Hoodie herself! There she is, in the picture above. Blank produces a few contemporary collections but Hoodie is my favorite. (And judging from the emails I get asking where to get her fabrics, she’s yours too!) Hoodie’s latest is Veggie Patch, which is [...]
The illustrious Bari J. had her first booth at market to show off her latest fabric collection Country Lane and her scores of sewing patterns (including four new ones), and to preview her beautiful-looking book that comes out in early 2011. I knew Bari was a handbag-maker before she began in fabric design, but I [...]
Art Gallery Fabrics‘ booth display was dedicated to showing the inspiration behind designer Pat Bravo’s three most recent three collections, and inspiration for sewing with it. Dreaming in French got a whole parlor to itself. She had me at macaroons. Outside the parlor were two gigantic mood boards showing the inspiration behind Modern Affair and [...]
{ Domestic Diva by Emily Taylor } Riley Blake Designs has grown by leaps and bounds in the short time they’ve been on the scene. Their booth real estate seems to grow exponentially with each successive market, as does their current and future fabric offerings. Not only that, they’ve expanded their range of products, offering [...]
Echino by Etsuko Furuya for Kokka always seems to be the most-photographed display at Quilt Market, so you’ve probably already seen these out there in blogland, but here it is in case you haven’t! The Fall 2010 main cotton-linen collection is already in stores — I think the oilcloths follow later. This collection is full [...]
