I’m such a sucker for Amy Butler.

I’m really interested in the Anna Maria line of voile. I do more clothing construction than quilts and this seems like a fresh change. Patty Young’s Flora & Fauna is probably my favorite- love every bit of it in all the colorways!

It’s got to be Kiyohara & Co. Ltd. for me!
Posted by: Jenn - 11/01/2009 - 5
How to pick a favorite? The collections are mind-blowing! But the one that I keep wanting to touch is Heather Bailey’s new collection. Other people pet fabric too right? I’m not crazy?!

Ooh, super hard to choose! I might have to go for the Kokka/Echino. I haven’t gotten much into the Japanese prints yet, but I really love these.
Posted by: Tabitha O. - 11/01/2009 - 10
I like those flowers in the quilt ‘Old New Fabric Collection Spaicy Scrap’ well I like the whole repro line there but those flowers just remind me of the old quilts you find and I like to see history remembered!

I don’t think I can choose! I just wish I could win the lottery, buy everything, and stay at home to sew all the time. But if I have to choose….I really like the Riley Blake designs you showed us!

Posted by: Kristen - 11/01/2009 - 24
I’m torn between the new Heather Bailey line (I’m loving the dress too!!!!) and American Jane’s french provincial reproduction, but all the fabrics were awesome in their own ways of course. Thanks for all the wonderful posts!
Posted by: Emily S - 11/01/2009 - 25
Without a doubt my favorite upcoming fabrics are Anna Maria Horner’s. I have never felt as ridiculously aquisitive about a fabric line as I am about Good Folks, but Little Folks might be even worse for my pocketbook. Voile! Solids! Dobby! GAHHH!
Posted by: Pattie Crum - 11/01/2009 - 26
It’s not in a quilters nature to pick just one fabric, but I find the Alexander Henry Halloween line simply beautiful.
Posted by: Karen Harris - 11/01/2009 - 27
Choose just one? I guess I’d have to say Kaffe.
Posted by: Leigh - 11/01/2009 - 28
The orange colorway of Riley Blake’s new line is fantastic! Especially those dots with the orange and brown and green and turquoise- LOVE it!

Posted by: Amy Menges - 11/01/2009 - 57
Favorites? You ask such hard questions! Ok, for fabric collections I have to go with Amy Butler. Maybe it’s her name, but I can’t pass her fabrics up without buying some. And for “other stuff” it’s the Heather Bailey dress pattern you have pictured above. I have to have it. It might just be the motivation I need to go to the gym every day, you know, so I can look good in that dress!
Posted by: Sarah - 11/01/2009 - 58
Oh My, You got me with the Art Gallery- esp the Maroon Telkari Medallions. I had to stop my world to gaze longingly at that fabric! I am loving your blog and learning so much from you! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge, and for your awesome give aways!
Posted by: Ellen - 11/02/2009 - 59
oooh… I LOVE the Kiyohara, but I feel like I could do more with the Anna Maria Horner (which I also love). This new collection of hers is so suited to small-piece sewing. The Kiyohara, I just want to put into a frame as is.
…. so I guess the answer is …. ummm …. Anna Maria. Yes, Anna Maria!
Posted by: Cascade Lily - 11/02/2009 - 60
Actually Echino, because I have a bubba boy and it’s so hard to find nicce, suitable prints for him! hard to make a choice though.
Posted by: Karen Notley - 11/02/2009 - 61
Gosh you ask the most difficult of questions. It would probably have to be a toss up between Amy Butler’s ‘Love’ or French General’s next range for Moda. Amy Butler may be ever so slightly in the lead. There is such a great lot of designers around these days. So much eye candy. It warms the cockles of my heart.
Posted by: Viv - 11/02/2009 - 62
I really like the Riley Blake “bloom and grow”. Really cute !!
Posted by: Jules O - 11/02/2009 - 63
I agree your posts have been great to view upcoming designs. I really was intrigued by the Hokkoh range & did try to research where I could get some, to no avail. But I thought this range was lovely.

Posted by: maryellen - 11/02/2009 - 77
I love ‘Love’. I’m smitten with the oval pillow and with
all things Amy. I also love Kaffe Fassett and all of his wonderful large prints and bold, bright colors. I’ve evolved from small prints to the WOW!!!
Posted by: Miss Crafty - 11/02/2009 - 78
I’d have to say AMH or Hokkoh are the ones that really caught my eye but, to be honest, I was really spoiled for choice.
Posted by: nancy topolski - 11/02/2009 - 79
It is simply not possible for me to pick a favorite. No, it can’t be done. In my home I have Anna Marie Horner curtains, Robert Kaufman pillows on the couch, Kokka in my bedroom and an Alexander Henry covered ottoman. I think what I need is those owls!I have been making owl pillows and soft sculptures this Fall and I just love his fabric.
Thanks as always for posting so many wonderful ideas and fabrics.
Posted by: Carmen - 11/02/2009 - 80
Thank you again for all the coverage – get some rest!
The Kiyohara Boku To Watashi prints are cuter than I thought fabric could ever be, and I also really love Kokka’s boy-leaning prints and the Alice in Wonderland print.
Whew, thanks for all the tantalizing photographs!
Posted by: Amy - 11/02/2009 - 81
I would say the Yuwa/Kei fabrics are my favorite, but that was a hard decision.
Posted by: Lindsay - 11/02/2009 - 82
You mean I have to choose?? Oh alright, I think I’m most looking forward to the new stuff from Anna Maria Horner.
Posted by: Brooke - 11/02/2009 - 83
i am not usually much for holiday fabrics, but that halloween collection might tempt me into indulging. On a Whim…..beyond awesome.

Hard to make a choice with all these amazing visuals but would say the Kaffe Fassett Collective is my favorite with Patricia Bravo’s Art Gallery a close second.

i think the collection i’m most looking forward to print and color wise is paula prass’ latest work. overall concept wise, i think anna maria horner is a genius and i’m so excited that she’s found even more ways to create new materials that will tie in beautifully with her previous collections. very much looking forward to her fabrics and also the book.
i’m a bright saturated colors girl though, so flora and fauna is going to rock my world and sewing table!

Posted by: Kathleen Connors - 11/02/2009 - 91
As everyone knows, it’s too hard to pick a favorite: each fabric line brings to mind a different kind of project.
I love the silks by Della Q tho I’ve never worked with silk.
Then I like Moda for more traditional and subtle fabrics.
And Sheree’s Alchemy fabrics are beautiful too.
I haven’t bought new fabric is some time, so all the fabrics were a feast for my eyes.
Thanks very much,
Kathleen C.

So, I have to say ANNA MARIA HORNER!!! She is my all-time favorite designer and I can never get enough of her fabrics, sewing patterns, you name it. I am hoping to very soon begin one of our original happy scrappy quilts made exclusively from her fabric lines.
) I’m also excited about Love by Amy Butler! We plan on getting our batch of it in December and all of us are very much looking forward to it.
Love reading True Up!

Another Anna Maria Horner fan here, I am (literally) saving up coins for Little Folks (would like the whole shebang, voile, flannels, dobby, oilcloth, even, but doubt the coins will stack that high). Also, I love, love, the look of Rouenneries, which I long to touch (of course people pet fabric!).
Thanks for the giveaways, and your tireless coverage.
Posted by: Doris - 11/02/2009 - 96

Although, I’d kill for that Nicey Jane dress!

There are just way too many to choose one line. I think I would have to choose Heather Bailey’s new line. Although the Alexander Henry Halloween prints are wonderful. So much fabric, so little time…
Posted by: Jacqueline - 11/02/2009 - 107
Wow, I’ve loved seeing all of these. Wish I could buy a little of everything, but the first one on my list is some of the Anna Maria to make baby gifts with.

Alexander Henry – In the Kitchen! (Although my 4 year old son was pointing his finger at the screen exclaiming he wants a quilt out of the Santa Fe line… we will see, tiny boy). In the Kitchen looks bright, whimsical and as loveably “odd” as any AH print!

Hmm. dilemma :
I have been back through your archives again and I think from Riley Blake’s catalog, Bloom and Grow would be my very very favorite. However we in New Zealand will probably never get to see a fraction of what will be available in larger countries. I feel the need to touch fabric as well as look.
Cheers
