Spring Quilt Market 2012: Yuwa

{ All photos by Ellen Luckett Baker of The Long Thread }

As you know Yuwa is one of the essential stops at Quilt Market because it’s difficult to find out about their new releases outside of market. Ellen was as enamoured with the Cotorienne collection by Anyan as I am, and took pictures of all the prints — I am trying something a little different and putting them all up on Facebook for your browsing pleasure.

Yuwa also showed a new the newest (thanks Jan!) Keiko Goke collection, which is subtly stitching themed:

I’m not sure these Yoshiko Jinjenzi prints are new but they are so different from everything else out there I think we will never tire of them:

Finally, vintage sewing and French bakery prints from the also-much-beloved Suzuko Koseki! (I think they’re both SK … let me know if I’m wrong!)

    I always love your preview posts, Kim. Thank you! However, the Keiko Goke prints, while her newest, are not *new*. I purchased (and wrote about) them at the Tokyo show in January and they are all available right now at Glorious Color.

    I don’t think the bottom prints are Suzukos. I bought both the sewing print and more macaroons in Tokyo this week. Neither of the selvedges have her name or signature bell. The sewing ones read YUWA LIVE LIFE PREMIUM. Interestingly, the reprints of the baked goods are slightly different colours to the originals. Just enough to be noticeable if you put them together in a quilt. Bummer for me. =/
