Spring Quilt Market 2012: Windham Fabrics

Known for more traditional designs and motifs, Windham scored the golden ticket when they signed Lotta Jansdotter. Her first licensed collection, Echo, was a hit and it’s rather safe to say that Bella, her second collection, will be no different. The colors – tangy orange, rich indigo, aqua, yellow and a warm gray – combine quite perfectly. She brought the crosshatch print back but other than that, it’s all new and ready to roll in any project. Releases in August, so save up now!

A few other collections that Windham has coming out definitely catch your eye. If you’ve seen the irreverent designs of Jackie Shapiro’s brand French Bull before, than you’ll know she loves to combine black and white along with bright hues. Her lovely designs, previously found on melamine, are going to be interpreted onto cotton with Delight and Multidot:

Toy Tales by Melanie Dekker (of Melly & Me) has some very fun juvenile prints too and brings in the primary colors which will be good friends with many of the Michael Miller basics too!:

Aster is a very pretty in-house collection that is “a contemporary take on fabrics found deep in the textile archives at Colonial Williamsburg.” It’s out in November 2012.

Moonstruck is by Whistler Studios and is out this September.
