Spring Quilt Market 2012: Robert Kaufman – Kona Solids
Modern Quilting is taking over and Robert Kaufman‘s Kona Cotton Solids have always been a big part of this movement. The RK booth was a big celebration of the Modern Quilt Guild and the new book We Love Color: 16 Iconic Quilt Designers Create with Kona Solids. They are upping the solids ante with 28 new colors, which will be shipping this month in charm pack form to a store near you.
Edited to add: Ha, this is what happens when you don’t see these things in person! RK also has a collection coming out called Kona Modern Quilts by Cynthia Frenette. They are prints inspired by all-solid modern quilts, and they can be used as cheater prints, or as not-cheater prints. It will be out this month, along with coordinating Kona color story bundles (naturally!). Thanks to Eryn for the comment that brought this to my attention!
