Spring Quilt Market 2012: Benartex

The biggest news from Benartex was the launch of their new brand Kanvas. I don’t have all the info on it, but it looks like it’s primarily novelty prints, with an emphasis on photo-realistic, modern, and whimsical motifs. It will even include a group of laminates. Benartex’s (non-Kanvas) designer collections will also certainly attract attention from the modern quilters and sewists. The first collection you see here is Birds and Blooms by Mitzi Powers.

Dianna LaFerry is a new designer with Benartex, and her art-deco-inspired, peacock-themed collection Feathers and Fancy will be out this October.

Googlies is a happy monster-themed kid’s collection by Michele D’Amore:

Owl Be There is part of the Kanvas line:

Touch of Luxe is accented by metallic inks with a “truly luxurious hand.”

Another sweet kids’ collection! This one is Under the Big Top by Kimberly Bourne. Love the typographic prints!

The Benartex booth highlighted Michelle D’Amore’s black, white, and grey collection Urbanicity. Also check out her new Bold and Beautiful, which comes in two colorways, Breezy and Brights.

Hello, I found your page through a google search for “Benartex Peacock”. I love the new range of feathers and fancy. Even more so, I love the peacock that Dianna LaFerry made from the fabric range. DO you know if the peacock pattern will laso be released with the fabric range??? Thanks Elaine
