Spring Quilt Market 2012: Art Gallery Fabrics

First off, thanks to Kim for reaching out to fabric obsessed Quilt Market attendees for help with the Quilt Market Re-Cap! It was lots of fun to see and learn about all the new fabric lines coming out!

I started off my rounds by stopping at Art Gallery Fabrics.

Pat Bravo showed me her two new lines, the first, Indie, will be available in August.  Indie is a globally inspired line that caters to quilters who use big, bold prints.

Pat’s second new line, Rock ‘n Romance, will be available in September.  She said this line is a recreation of her most popular girly-girl prints from other collections reinterpreted for the rocker girl.  The two colorways, Dreammaker and Heartbreaker, feature lots of greys, which Pat sees venturing out into the home dec, nursery, and clothing world in addition to the quilter’s stash.

Under the Art Gallery Fabrics In-House Studio name, they are releasing a collection called Floressence in October.  Pat described these prints as modern, yet subdued.

Art Gallery Fabrics has 11 new colors in their solid Pure Elements line and six new colors in the Oval Elements line.  The solids are available in June, but you’ll have to wait until August for the Oval Elements.

Art Gallery Fabrics also showcased two collections by Bari J. Lillybelle, Bari J’s funky vintage debut line with Art Gallery Fabrics, will be available in June.  Splendor 1920, her second line, will be out in November, and features old world elegance.

Splendor 1920 was not available to see “in the cloth,” but these posters give you an idea…

Oh man, don’t you love that Pat Bravo and Art Gallery’s stuff. Super great! My internet was too slow to load all the pictures, hah, but I’ll check back when it’s feeling less wimpy.
