Spring Quilt Market 2012: Anthology Fabrics

Anthology Fabrics was showing three new collections from their ever-expanding Print Collection. The wonderful Ms. Khristian A. Howell’s newest is Sweet Tea, inspired by her growing up in the south. It’s available in July 2012.

Adrienne Looman is a new designer with Anthology. Her first collection, Flying Free, is just out.

Raining Rainbows was born on a gloomy day in England, which I gather is designer Lola Violet’s homeland. I love the purposely-off-register crosshatch accents on the clouds and dots. It’s out this month. Also see Blooming Lovely, coming out in August 2012.

And fingers crossed for a new Leah Duncan collection in the fall!

How do you determine what companies to feature? There are some good established companies that you did not feature that had prominent displays at the last market.
Aren’t these companies deserving as well? Since they advertise and market and support the industry on many levels?

David, I feature companies that produce the kinds of fabrics that my readers are interested in. It is also constrained by what I and my writers can feasibly cover in the course of three days. We try to cover everything we can. The coverage isn’t finished yet … is there a certain company you were thinking about?
