Spring Quilt Market 2012: Andover Fabrics

Andover is becoming a major player on the contemporary/modern scene — they’re one of the small handful of companies who is going to be exhibiting at Quiltcon early next year, so that should tell you something!  Here’s what we got to see at Spring Quilt Market, and we know there’s lots more excitement to come. First up, once-Austinite, now-Chicagoan Jane Dixon’s City Scenes, an awesome, funky, beatnik-vibed collection.

All the fabrics you see here are out in stores now.

10 Little Rubber Ducks is the latest Eric Carle book brought to fabric.

Kathy Hall – Dilly Dally – I’m also digging her In Plain Sight collection which comes out in November.

Guising by Lizzy House, each print more charming and clever than the next.

Ric Rac Rabbits by Creative Thursday – and, coming in August 2012, The Red Thread.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town, also by Creative Thursday. You know what a Christmas collection means, right? It means you have ARRIVED. It’s the fabric world equivalent of having a bobble head doll made in your likeness.

Tokyo Rococo by Carol Van Zandt. Her slogan is “flirty fusion at its finest,” and what could better exemplify that than a blend of Japanese and late Baroque influences? See also Licorice Fizz, which comes out in October.
