Fall Quilt Market 2012: Modern Quilt Relish

I was excited to meet the ladies of Modern Quilt Relish for the first time this market. They were one of the forerunners of the Modern Quilt movement and they are the nicest people you could hope to meet. Their booth featured their patterns sewn up in fresh fabric collections. The centerpiece was a new pattern, a beautiful geometric sampler-type quilt called Picnic.

Picnic will be released as a self-published book. It’s composed of six blocks and is intended to work as a Block of the Month program (and there aren’t too many of those in the modern quilt realm!). I somehow failed to take a picture of the actual quilt that was hanging right above the postcards — must have been too entranced by it to remember — but Kathy of Pink Chalk Fabrics had her wits about her because she has a nice shot you can seeĀ here.
