Fall Quilt Market 2012: Lakehouse Dry Goods

Lakehouse Dry Goods is a small company well known for the highest quality cottons and print quality. Owner Holly Holderman introduces only one or two collections per Market, by herself or recent licensee Pam Kitty Morning, but they are very large collections covering the entire rainbow. Ms. Pam Kitty Morning herself showed me Lakehouse’s next collection, Sweet Things, which will be out in May 2013. The designs are shown on paper only, but she said that they are excellent representations of the final fabrics. Sweet Things is loosely about sweets — centered around cupcakes and donuts — but it incorporates lots of easy-to-use, classic ric rac stripes, gingham, plaid, dots, and simple, graphic flowers.

Lakehouse also has a new collaboration with It’s Sew Emma, the pattern design company recently launched by Kimberly Jolly and colleagues from The Fat Quarter Shop. Some of the patterns you see here are from the Lakehouse Pattern line, some from It’s Sew Emma including their great new book Simply Fat Quarters.

Also look for Pam Kitty Morning’s new collection Pam Kitty Love, which is new in stores now!
