Fall Quilt Market 2012: Dear Stella

With KallianthiDear Stella comes full circle. They brought classic home decor motifs and looks to quilting cotton, and now this collection includes a home dec fabrics. Dear Stella’s cotton sateen is a light and drapey, perfect for breezy curtains. Kallianthi mixes ikat and block-print-like designs.

Cleo. Oh how I love the neutral-with-a-pop-of-color thing, especially when the pop is coral.

Ostara is sophisticated and perfectly British.

Portico was described as “very Restoration Hardware.” I’m also thinking about BasicGrey’s Little Black Dress for Moda and thinking that the black-and-tan trend is very compelling.

But if you prefer color, Garden Party has it in spades. Oh, I just made a funny.

And, full circle, we’re back to the home-dec-derived look. I’d say that Ikebana defines the Dear Stella aesthetic. On-trend colors; ikat; interior design inspired; cool coordinates.

Dear Stella’s kids and basics collections are coming up in the next post.
