Fall Quilt Market 2012: Betz White

{ Polar Babies Quilt and Polar Pal Appliqués }

Betz White debuted her new pattern collection, Wildlife with Love ™, at Market. This collection offers techniques for everyone: quilting, appliqué and sewing! Betz was inspired by her son who is concerned with saving endangered animals — so much so that he donates his own money to the National Wildlife Federation. The Polar Babies animals are momma and baby polar bears, penguins and seals and are featured in the Polar Babies Quilt & Pillow pattern. The quilt also features a snowy owl and an arctic fox.  I had never even heard of an arctic fox!  The beautiful quilting was done by quilter extraordinaire, Angela Walters.

The mommas and babies in the Polar Pal Appliques craft projects are so sweet!

If you don’t want to quilt or applique, you can sew up adorable stuffed animals:  Slippy and Slide Seals, Poppy and Pip Penguins and Flurry and Fluff Polar Bears. The details on these animals are amazing!

{ Betz’s impressive display of products }

Betz certainly makes sure we have plenty of projects to work on.  She also displayed her impressive array of bags, hats and pillows!  She is one crafty lady. My favorites are the Sidekick Sling (3rd from the right on the top row) and the Stitch-along Tote (the two rightmost bags placed on the shelf).

You can find Betz’s patterns in her Etsy shop and on Craftsy.
