Fall Quilt Market 2012: Benartex

Michele D’Amore is an extremely versatile (and prolific and talented) designer — just look at the breadth of these three collections she has coming out for Benartex this season! Manhattan Modern has a few epic geometric prints that can be cut up to look like a zillion different prints. The pairing with the soulful hand-drawn floral adds a lot of dimension. The vastly different colorways look like totally different collections.

Interlude shows the more traditional side of Michele D’Amore:

And her Sun-Kissed is also surprising in the contrasting colorways (Spa and Tropical).

The Benartex booth also had a cool display for Fabrique-istan by Paula Nadelstern. Ms. Nadelstern had her own art quilt show, featuring eight different artists’ quilts made from the collection. Her pals also got together and made the fantastic/trippy embellished orbs you see below that echo the prints.
