Fall Quilt Market 2011: FreeSpirit/Westminster/Rowan

I ran out of time at Quilt Market and failed to capture the rest of FreeSpirit/Westminster/Rowan‘s offerings (except for Amy Butler, the one and only video I managed despite plans to video everyone, coming up next!). Fortunately the new collections are well-represented on the web, so I’ll point you around:

I was at Anna Maria Horner‘s booth a couple times, but we never stopped the chatting enough for me to take pictures. You can virtually visit her booth here. LouLouThi velveteen, new ribbons, and wool needlepoint canvases!

Valori Wells had a booth showing off her newest collection Karavan and her new sewing patterns. Karavan Jersey Knits coming soon! She looked super cute at market in her own version of Sondy.

Early Birds is the always-awesome Jane Sassaman‘s new line. It’s inspired by her own gardens (and the dandelions that invade it). She’s working on a book called Patchwork Sassaman Style for Dragon Threads.

Tina Givens was showing her new collection Lilliput Fields and new sewing patterns … she also has a Christmas collection called Star Flakes and Glitter.

Everyone’s very excited for Denyse Schmidt‘s Flea Market Fancy Legacy Collection. It’s supposed to be out in March — that’s just three short months, people! Heather Bailey‘s first collection, Freshcut, will also get a revival in February, with quilting cotton reprints and a flannel collection.

That’s just the beginning. There’s great new collections on a range of substrates from Tanya Whelan, David Walker, Jennifer Paganelli, Eleanor Grosch, Dena Designs, Annette Tatum, and Verna Mosquera … and that’s just on the FreeSpirit side. Rowan also has their fair share of gorgeous-ity: Caiman by Rowan Design Gallery, Cosmos by Dan Bennett, a Victoria & Albert Collection called Garthwaite, and of course new prints from Kaffe Fassett and friends. Also, Ty Pennington is back with a new block-printing-inspired Impressions group.

Keep an eye on Westminster’s Scribd feed for the full Fall catalog.
