You may know German designer Susanne Firmenich, aka Hamburger Liebe, from her Spoonflower designs, which I have featured here before. Some of her Spoonflower designs and dozens more were picked up by two European companies — Hilco, which I’ll show you in the next post, and Michas Stoffecke. Michas Stoffecke has produced a whole slew of designs, and if you count up all the prints in all the colorways, there are more than 200 fabrics! They include plain woven cotton, cotton poplin, baby cord, organic interlock knits, and jersey knits. See them all here (the photos here only represent about half of the total offerings!)– you can also study up on which designs come on which basecloths. I think Glucksklee (above) is destined to be a classic.
For you lucky Europeans, Micha’s sells their fabrics directly to the public, and Volksfaden also carries some of the organic knits. They are also available wholesale to sellers internationally — someone in the U.S. please get these and let us know in the comments when you do — I am sure that a lot of people will be clamoring for them! Write to firstname.lastname@example.org for info.
