I can’t wait till market to dive into the next season’s worth of fabric, can you? Well then let’s check out Moda, who has the next four month’s worth of collections viewable on their site now.
ABC 123 by American Jane, out August 2012. And I’m not even done going crazy over School Days yet, are you?
Sew Stitchy by Aneela Hoey, out August 2012. There have been lots of sewing themed collections out there, but who can complain about a trend like that? Before that we get her Christmas collection, Cherry Christmas (July 2012), which is just the sweetest.
So while we’re on the topic of Christmas, Moda’s June releases are all-Christmas, all-the-time, and there is something for every taste. Cosmo Cricket‘s Dear Mr. Claus is for the retro fans …
Blitzen by Basic Grey is sophisticated-hip …
… and Joy by Kate Spain is of the simple/bold variety of hip. With coordinates that would work year-round — always a bonus!
Jenn Ski‘s first collection for Moda was a kid’s collection — the next one, Mod Century (Sept 2012) reflects more her everday work! Mod Century is superretro and incorporates lots of textures, like wood grain and the tweedy bouclé of vintage upholstery fabrics.
Little Black Dress (August 2012) by Basic Grey — really pretty assortment of florals and birds in black, greys, and tans, versatile just like its namesake.
Mama Said Sew (August 2012) is by Sweetwater, who are keeping the text print addicts well stocked!
Mother-daughter team Lauren and Jessi Jung (August 2012) have their own lush take on birds and flowers with Birds and Berries.
I know everyone is calling for death of the deer (and owl) trends, but I think they’re timeless. Deer:motifs :: green:neutrals. They’re classic but will always add a little flair. MoMo’s Oh Deer! delivers a colorful forestful of the creatures in August 2012.
I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of these collections in our Market coverage. Which are you most excited about?
