I wanted to do something a little bit different for my blog tour for A Field Guide to Fabric Design. There were so many topics, lessons, and resources that couldn’t fit into the book, so I thought I’d form them into guest posts and offer them up to my gracious blog tour hosts. In talking to people at Quilt Market I also got unanimous support for taking it slowwwwwwwly, so you can expect 3-4 tour stops a month over the next few months. In fact, I’ve been so willfully relaxed about it that I haven’t set but a few dates in stone so far! I like to think of it like a backpacking trip through Europe … let’s see where the adventure takes us. I will announce all the stops here on the blog, of course, and also list them on my book page so you can follow along down the line.
And since things aren’t yet set in stone, this is a great opportunity for you to tell me what you want to learn about. For those of you who have the book already, was there anything you were hoping I covered that wasn’t in there?
My first stop — the Paris of fabric design blogs, perhaps? — Spoonflower! Visit their blog for my Border Print Tutorial. They’re also giving away a copy of the book. The comments close at noon Eastern U.S. time today (Wednesday, December 1, 2011), so get on over there!
