Jeanne McGee

{ Brown Flower }

Jeanne McGee is a printmaker living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She handprints fabric and paper with hand-carved woodblocks. I’m amazed by the consistency and clarity of these prints — something I could never achieve with rubber and linoleum blocks for the book, but that has its own charm, I think :) . Jeanne sometimes uses individual stamps to build up beautiful, intricate, and one-of-a-kind designs.

She sells beautiful lampshades printed with her designs through her Etsy shop, but these two fabric prints are for sale there too. Both are about fat-quarter-sized pieces, printed onto a white linen basecloth.

She has also been dabbling on Spoonflower! Her pattern portfolio on her main website has several more gorgeous digital patterns.
