Sarah Fielke was Quilt Market to promote her new book, Quilting From Little Things, and new fabric collection with Lecien, St. Ives, which is inspired by the spirit of growing up in the late 70s-early 80s. The idea behind the book is to learn new quilting techniques in a low-commitment (and quilting-class-friendly) way with doll-sized quilts, then move on to full-sized quilts once you’re hooked. Sarah is so clever — the dolly quilts are not merely mini versions of the larger quilts; they stand on their own as unique designs.
So our grand finale of Lecien posts just happened to coincide with Sarah’s True Up blog tour stop. It’s almost like we planned it that way!
Be sure to follow the whole tour — most everyone has actually made something from the book. I think that’s really saying something! Sarah is just that inspiring.
