Fall Quilt Market 2011: Kokka – Echino
The booth showcasing Etsuko Furuya’s Echino Fall 2011 collection was full of greatness. It also demonstrated that you can do anything with cotton-linen that you can do with quilting cotton, and then some. At the bottom, two “bonus prints” that will be delivering to stores later — everything else is already out. Apologies for the quality of these photos, I was having issues! But mildly blurry Echino is better than no Echino.

Oh I love Echino! The print third from the bottom with the big spots and birds is gorgeous. But woah, that cheetah man-beast formed by the seam in the photo of the two bags is scary – are they branching into Hallowe’en themed fabrics?
oh i love echino. i LOVE it!
Seven Islands always has the best samples in their booth. Love those hat boxes. I asked them if they have a sample sale, but they said they always send the stuff back to Japan.
Be still my beating heart!
