Dwell Studio: Eclectic Modern

DwellStudio, perhaps best known for their modern baby and kids’ textile design, recently collaborated with Robert Allen Design for a collection of interior fabrics, called Eclectic Modern. It’s a mixture of Chinoiserie-inspired prints; versatile, modern geometrics; and gorgeous textures. For the edgier tastes, Snake Chain is a traditional-looking trellis from afar, but close-up you can see it’s composed of intertwined snakes. I’m really loving the Plush Dotscape — I need more velvet up in this place!

Available retail from Calico Corners, DwellStudio Shop, House Fabric.

See some individual images of the fabrics on the Robert Allen site. And finally – you just have to see the video of DwellStudio founder Christiane Lemieux introducing the collection:

  2. Emily says:

I love, love, love Dwell Studio. I’m almost afraid to look at the fabrics though, in case their prices crush my heart.

  3. EncoreBride says:

Love these fabrics but I’m afraid I’ve spent way more than I needed on fabrics in just the last 3 weeks! Will bookmark though, they are lovely!

Love the Dwell line, and you should definitely get some of the velvet dot, it is so great in person! One of my favorites! I have also seen some of these newer Dwell fabrics on Fabric.com, type “Dwell” in the search box, and you will see a couple new colors in the “gate” pattern that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

oh, am so loving this collection — rich colors and stunning designs!

  7. What a great post; these fabrics are so fun. It always amazes our clients how much fabrics and accessories can impact the look of a room. People often have a hard time paying for special pillows or fabric, but from a furnishing and design perspective those additions on a furnishing make all the difference in the look. I just redecorated my living room in what I would call Modern Glamour (could be called Modern Eclectic) and bought some pillows from Dwell and had others made from the Lee Jofa Groundworks collection (some very fun prints).

I haven’t been to this website before and will have to share it with my office. Fabulous!
