Kelly McCants is the queen of oilcloth. She’s proprietress of the Etsy shops Oilcloth Addict, which offers oilcloth, laminated cottons, and Chalk Cloth by the yard, and Modern June, which offers finished goods made out of these unique, durable, charming fabrics. And in case you’re in any doubt she’s the queen, she’s now she’s got a book, Sewing With Oilcloth: 20 Patterns That Make Sewing With Oilcloth Easy, Fresh, and Fun, which is destined to become the book on oilcloth. For this blog tour stop, I asked Kelly to give us her Fabric Fives, and she gracefully obliged despite having some slightly more important things to deal with! That is hardcore. Below are Kelly’s oilcloth-flavored picks. Find out how you can win a copy of the book and some oilcloth of your own at the end of the post!

Five Most Recent Acquisitions
We’re making cotton aprons for Rust-Oleums Marketing and PR department. They will be wearing them at this year’s Country Living Fairs in Columbus and Atlanta. It’s a fun project, some of the aprons will be very fun and kitschy while the other will be cute and country chic. It’ll be so fun to see them at the show wearing their aprons. What an honor!
Five Fabrics You Could (or Do) Consume by the Bolt
Between making all our Modern June goodies and selling fabric through Oilcloth Addict I go through a lot of bolts every month.
Anna Maria Horner’s Tart laminate flies out of our studio. We’ve gone through five bolts since May!
Heather Bailey’s Green Hop Dot laminate. It’s simple and perky!
Red Gingham oilcloth, an oilcloth we could not live with out.
Orange Lace oilcloth. What can I say, it’s just dreamy!
Chalkcloth. We get 56 yards at a time. I have girlfriends that weigh less than those bolts.
