Richard Scarry Busytown From Quilting Treasures
And speaking of Quilting Treasures licensed character collections that tug at my nostalgia strings … coming soon (October, I believe) is Richard Scarry’s Busytown. I’ve shared my love for Richard Scarry here before — as a kid I loved Cars and Trucks and Things That Go far more than Barbie! I’d spend hours looking for goldbug and planning which kind of food-car I’d drive when I grew up (pickle, of course). So even though the colors are kind of boyish in this collection, don’t count the girls out.
Busytown also includes a border print and a panel print to make soft books or incorporate into quilts.

I will be making myself a DRESS with this – I’m so excited! Yay Busytown!!
My daughter LOVES Busytown (especially Huckle the Cat and Lowly Worm) and I’m sure she’d be thrilled with something made from this great fabric!
My son is going to go nuts!
Yes, the kids over here will be nuts. Please announce when it’s for sale!
Sweet! I’m so buying this and making myself a quilt!
What? Not the Banana Car??
I love Richard Scarry! My daughter was obsessed with SCARRY’S BEST WORD BOOK EVER when she was one (and I always attributed her huge vocab at that age to that book). She’s 10-going-on-16 now, so I’m wishing I had a little one whom I could buy this fabric for.
