New Release Tuesday: 3/29/11

New Release Tuesday is my periodic roundup of new fabric sightings. These fresh arrivals have started to arrive in fabric shops and are ready to buy. Retailers, as always, if you carry any of these collections, let us know in the comments!

In the Kitchen is Alexander Henry’s ongoing retro-themed line, and Griffith Park and Barclay are the newest collections within that line. (Um. And don’t take my usage of “collection” and “line” as authoritative! I think they are used interchangeably by most folks … and I have no idea how “range,” used by the Brits and Aussies, fits in there. Anyway … ) Barclay is the snails-themed collection and Griffith Park features florals, birds, and hills. And as Fabricworm’s bundle above shows, they work very nicely together.

Alexander Henry - Pocket Pixie

Also from Alexander Henry, Pocket Pixie, in a sweet soft pink colorway, a warm springy colorway, and an edgy black/turquoise colorway (above).

Spring 2011 Kaffe Fassett prints have arrived … spotted at Glorious Color and Pink Chalk Fabrics.

Aviary 2 by Joel Dewberry for FreeSpirit brings back some of the most popular designs from Aviary (I), Ginseng, and Deer Valley in three new colorways. Image above from Hawthorne Threads.

The very pretty Sugar and Spice is Amanda Herring (The Quilted Fish)’s second collection for Riley Blake. Also in laminates!

Vive la France is Robert Kaufman and Monaluna‘s contribution to the Paris trend, complete with fleur de lis, Eiffel towers, poodles, and cute topiary.

Michael Miller Fabrics has all kinds of new novelties and basics out right now … I’m also intrigued by their new Mini Mikes basics (which I haven’t seen in stores yet, but it looks like they’re coming soon).

We have Aviary 2 in store at Fabric Crush (Seattle). It’s sooooo beautiful! And the woodgrain is going quickly…

I carry some of the bright colorway of Griffith Park at my shop, Fresh Modern Fabric, on Etsy. Griffith Park, the title print, is a really fun design…I love the birds, hills and trees! I have photos which show a lot of detail posted with the item listings in my shop.

I have just added Alexander Henry fabrics to my online shop in Germany. It usually takes about a month longer to get the collections here than in the U.S., but I know this one will be worth the wait.

  4. Wow I actually have a new release fabric in my shop in Australia (we usually seem to get stuff months after everyone else). We have both of the Michale Miller novelty Tattoo prints as well as the prom print.

I have no idea where to start! My project list just keeps growing. Love it!
