Reproductions of Pamela Walker’s 1970s fabric designs, including “Elephant Walk” from 1973, are available from sproutdesign in Australia. True to the originals, sproutdesigns’s fabrics are hand-screenprinted with water-based inks. Some background info on Walker from the sproutdesign site:
Inspired by an article in a local newspaper about silk screen printing, Pamela, a bored housewife living in New Guinea in the 1970’s, set out to design printed fabric. An exclusive range of hand prints developed and were used in clothing, soft furnishings, toys and bags decorating nurseries and homes all over the world.
