Daily Swatch: Pattern Types – Block Repeat

Here’s another simple block repeat — it’s a Thea Tanner design from the collection of mannagryn design on Flickr. While cute as all get-out (I want to know more about Ms. Tanner!), the repeat seems like an odd choice. In fact I wonder, since each square has the designer’s signature underneath, if this was meant to be cut up and hemmed for handkerchiefs.
