Spring Quilt Market 2010 – Yuwa / Kei
Text fabrics seemed to be the theme at the Yuwa / Kei booth this season! Kelly of Superbuzzy tells me they apologized for the “mistakes” in the English but we all hope that will never change. Besides, when you incorporate text fabrics into your projects, it’s about the graphics, not the content, right?
I promised you apparel fabrics, right? Well here we go … LAWN!
Some sweet vintage/feedsack reproductions and juvenile prints:
Look — I have the originals of that floral on the left.
If you were intrigued by Suzuko Koseki’s hard-to-find-in-the-U.S. vintage sewing themed collection (pictured above) that I posted about earlier this year, well, you’re in luck. Yuwa was selling it at Market, so I’d expect it to be a little more accessible to us. That said, I heard that many prints and colors were sold out, so we might only be getting bits and pieces.
And last but not least, Keiko Goke will be expanding her lovely collection with these prints (I think I missed a couple others).

Oh, can’t stand how adorable they all are. And I love the English JUST the way it is–that makes it even cuter. My favorite are those button prints–LOVE THEM ALL!!
I’m so happy you posted the text fabrics from S. Koseki.
I hope the shops in the US will carry them. I got some from Rosa Pomar in Portugal because I loved them so much.
Also, got some from Superbuzzy just today. Your blog is wonderful! Keep up the good work.
Wowee! I am toally loving the text and juvenile prints
I love the text prints! Can’t wait to get my hands on some of them!
Do let us know if you see the lawns for sale anywhere. The roses in the bottom left corner are calling my name.
I am a big fan of Keiko Goke & luckily, I live in Tokyo so I am looking forward to seeing her latest as well as all the other gorgeous fabrics at the local shops soon!
