It took forever, but that about does it for fabric previews from Spring Quilt Market 2010. Phew! But Quilt Market is all about hanging out with friends, putting names to faces, and making devious plans. Once again I suffered from fabric tunnel vision when it came to taking pictures, but here are some of my favorite people shots.
Here are Erin McMorris and Lizzy House shaking on some devious plan they just made. OK, this was their first meeting but it LOOKED like they were shaking on a devious plan, and then I forced them to them awkwardly re-create the moment. Sorry! I love you ladies!
Here is a little more than half of the lovely Long ladies of a href=”http://www.mariemadelinestudio.com/”>Marie-Madeline Studio, who I ran into in the aisles. They really are just as radiant as they seem from their blog! I just love this part about Quilt Market — meeting people with whom I’ve only corresponded via email over the years. If only there was enough time (not to mention food options) to sit down and break bread with everyone!
I was so delirious from my 3am wakeup to travel to Minneapolis that I only eeked out one picture at the Fabric 2.0 party that night. It’s Sarah and Jocelyn from the Fat Quarter Shop, who had to leave too soon to do their own (amazing) reportage for the Jolly Jabber.
On Sunday, my market buddy Melissa Averinos signed her new book Small Stash Sewing. It was a HUGE crowd! Read her own quilt market posts starting here with her envy-enducing B&B. Can’t wait to see her new fabric collection with Andover!
