Have you met Emmie, Allie, and Kyle? I love these ladies. They’re Robert Kaufman‘s marketing department and I feel like we’ve become good pals. It’s funny because the three quilt markets I’ve been to, the RK booth has always had the same configuration and these ladies have always been sitting in the same spots relative to one another. It’s like they freeze, get picked up and plopped in a different convention center each season. They probably think the same of me. Ladies, we will have to go out next time so I can get to know you out of context! If you’re allowed.
Anyway, the fabric! They are showing the newest in the Pimatex Basics collection. I am very enthusiastic about Robert Kaufman’s upcoming offerings …
You already know Laurie Wisbrun and her Tufted Tweets. Have you seen the next collection, Urban Circus?
Here’s a little peek on paper … this should be out around August.
Here’s Kyle looking sassy in a ready-made apron, made from Darlene Zimmerman‘s October 2010 collection Betty Dear. These are larger-scale, 40s housedress prints — an exciting turn from THE master of cute, small-scale 30s reproductions. Let’s take a closer look …
I’m in love!
This collection is just so cute. It’s by mummysam, aka Samantha Cotterill, and it’s called A Day in the Life. Any parent will relate. It’s out August 2010.
And here we have Flitter Flannel (above) and Metro Cafe (below) by Monaluna. Ms. Jennifer just launched a redesign of her website, have you seen? Flitter is out now, and I believe Metro Cafe is too, or it soon will be.
Daisies and Dots is by Piece O’ Cake Designs, and delivers November 2010.
And some more basics … those colorful sample cards just draw you in, don’t they?
Quilter’s Linen, a 100% cotton mock linen.
Aiden Linen — 100% linen in gorgeous colors.
Kona Dimensions — the classic Kona solids with a woven dot texture.
That’s not even all the excitement out of Robert Kaufman. They have licensing deals with Dr. Seuss and the Girl and Boy Scouts of America, and they’re producing some vintage fabric prints from the Girl Scout archives that you’re going to go crazy over. More in future posts!
And finally, I’m saving my pictures of Nancy Mims’ Free to Grow for our interview and giveaway next week, so check back.
