Spring Quilt Market 2010: More Moda

I missed seeing several collections from Moda firsthand at Market, but I did take home their catalog, and just had to show you some more of their Fall 2010 collections …

I am just crazy about Urban Chiks‘ Dream On, and I think you will be too. It’s inspired by vintage sheets, which have a huge following lately (and rightly so).

Now, I used the oliver + s booth as a landmark at which to meet people throughout Market (I even had a Nancy Zieman sighting from there!) … I ate lunch with Liesl for goodness’ sake, but did I remember to take pictures of their booth? Well of course not! Smack me upside the head, then please accept this subpar view of their debut collection for Moda, City Weekend. I know you’re as excited about the knits as I am! (Fortunately oliver + s and City Weekend are well documented — video on Moda Lissa here, and Liesl’s own blog post here.

MoMo’s next one is called It’s a Hoot, and I think it has the makings of a big hit!

Last but not least, Bunny Hill Designs has switched companies from Henry Glass to Moda, and I can’t think of a more fitting home. The collection is called Lily & Will, and rounding out the sweet quilting cotton collection will be coordinating canvas, waffle knits, pre-quilted solids, and poly satin fabric and ruffle trim — basically everything you need to outfit a nursery.

MoMo has great timing, it seems like owls are really hot now – I love them!

The Bunny Hill ‘Lilly and Will’ reminds me a little of Tina Givens’ ‘Georgina’ and ‘Chloe’s Imagination.’

  2. We have precuts available of both Dream On and City Weekend available NOW at http://shop.badskirt.com

Sadly, early release of Bliss has sold out.

  3. I meant to add that you can also find images of these fabrics on my flickr stream

    City Weekend: 1, 2, 3, 4

    Dream On: 1, 2, 3

    Bliss: 1, 2, 3, 4

Happy to have any of the images featured on your blog to show off actual fabric samples in addition to your catalogue images

  4. How in the world did youiss anything!?!? The way you kept us up on what was there it is hard to believe! That book is beautiful. If it were mine, I would just sit, stare and drool! Thanks for always keeping us updated!! ~Shelley

  6. amanda says:

Woah! Holy vintage sheetiness… especially that butterfly one! I’ve got one of those sheets in yellow/orange sitting in my closet right now. :) Fun that they’re doing stuff like that with fun updated colors.

  7. oh, i love the samples in the first pic. what is it about fabric that is so swoon-inducing? :) i wonder how long we have to wait for these things to become available.
