Spring Quilt Market 2010: Michael Miller Designers – Patty Young & Knits

Patty Young had her own booth showing off her brand new kids’ collection, Playdate, and Michael Miller’s new knit collection, which is part her prints and part Michael Miller Studio prints. I hope Patty will do another guest appearance over here to talk more about these knits and how to sew with them — this collection seemed to be the buzz of Market and her schoolhouse was standing-room only!

The knits are 100% interlock, 58″ wide, with 50% stretch and 12.5% shrinkage. They will be arriving in shops in early June; Playdate will follow a few weeks later.

Playdate is an eclectic, energetic mix of prints for girls, and it includes a panel print so you can make her “Potty Girls” dolls yourself. (You just have to read her blog for the full story on these gals, and get a free doll dress pattern to boot.) And see more inspirational shots from Patty’s booth here.
