Fall Quilt Market 2010 – Moda – Urban Chiks

Urban Chiks - Hulabaloo

I know a lot of you, like me, have always wondered who the Urban Chiks are — I have always loved their collections, but there is nothing out there on the internet about them. Well, this market the Moda catalog finally revealed their identities! They are in-house designers Alison Scully and Holly Hickman, who also design Moda ads, Moda Home products, and lots more. I’ve also always been a big fan of Moda Home, so that makes perfect sense. (BTW, I didn’t make it by to see the new Moda Home stuff this time, but you can check it out in this super cute ebook.)

The Chiks have two collections coming out. This top one is called Hulabaloo (April 2011). Though the focus print is very kids-room, the coordinates are very versatile. I love the muted colors and grays.

Moda was nice enough to send me a luscious box of layer cakes (squeeee!), which included this other Urban Chiks collection full of basic florals and coordinates in a bright rainbow palette. BUT I lost the tag so I can’t even tell you the name? Any of you in the know have any information on it?

I always love the urban chiks lines…I’d also love to know the name of their second line…I had only heard about hullabaloo

I believe Hoopla is the “moda” collection – it doesn’t have their name on it. :-)
