Wow, I really thought I’d be able to get through all the Quilt Market coverage before Thanksgiving, but we’ve still got a good week to go! I hope you aren’t bored with it yet.
I got to site down with Benartex for the first time ever … VP of Marketing Susan Neill showed me their current and upcoming contemporary collections. Some of my favorites — including a Penn-Dutch folky collection and a sweet vintage kitten-themed collection — I can’t show you till early next year, but I was also intrigued by their current and coming-very-soon collections, including Kitty Yoshida‘s Prospect Park. It is just arriving in stores now.
Wordplay is another collection from Ms. Amore, a very popular collection that is now in its 3rd-5th printing:
It has a cheater print!
Finally, Baby Business by Jackie Clark, which Ms. Neill described as “baby with a twist.” I love the juxtaposition of the faux granny squares, newsprint, and maps with the sweet little vintage novelties and calicos:
It comes in a boy and a girl colorway, and is also in shops now.
