Japanese Fabric of the Week: Keiko Goke

Keiko Goke is a very well known and well loved quilt artist. She counts the Kaffe Fassett Collective amongst her fans, and when I talked with Liza Prior Lucy at the Fall 2009 Quilt Market, she sent me straight away to see Ms. Goke’s debut collection from Yuwa. It’s a gorgeous collection, so reflective of her point of view as a quilter. (And quite complementary to Kaffe & Co.’s fabrics too — it’s no wonder why Glorious Color is carrying it.)

The photos here are by Jan at Be*Mused — she’s Goke’s biggest fan! — originally posted on her blog and used with permission here. See Jan’s post on The Tokyo International Quilt Festival 2010 for more on Goke and further links. Thank you so much, Jan!
