Japanese Fabric of the Week: Cotton Crayon

Japanese shop Cotton Crayon has lots of retro/repro goodness I haven’t seen elsewhere. (Most of these fabrics can be found on the fourth link down in the left-hand navigation, then click the button at the very bottom of the page to navigate forward.) I’m not sure if they ship internationally, but I found this shop through Pink Penguin and I’m pretty sure Ayumi lives in the U.S., so there’s hope!

Where did you find the Paris map fabric? I went to the Cotton Candy website and using Google’s translator, went through every page but couldn’t find that print. I would appreciate any leads you can offer. Just recently discovered your blog and I love it. Thanks….

The last fabric posted on the right (food images with calorie content)was previously produced as scrapbook paper by Anna Griffin. I wonder if she is at all connected to the fabric production?

  3. I have that bottom fabric on the right…the food images and it’s an Anna Griffin! I bought it at a local hardware store…random right?! :)

Wow! Thank you Kim for featuring one of my favorite shops! I’ve been subscribing to your blog for a while now and I really enjoy how you constantly find fun fabrics to share with us! I have a few more cool Japanese shops that I believe haven’t been featured here, so I hope to get some fabric from there and upload them in your flickr group!

Oh as for shipping for Cotton Crayon, I doubt they do unfortunately. I had my mom’s help in Japan.

That calorie print is a reproduction of a vintage hankie (or maybe a tea towel?)!
