Giveaway: Farbenmix Fabrics
I previously featured the new prints produced by German pattern/ribbon/embellishments company Farbenmix in this post. The Farbenmix folks were kind enough to send me a big package of fabric and coordinating ribbons! And I’m here today to share the wealth. Tell me your favorite print in the comments, and I’ll draw four names to receive a yard of fabric and a couple yards of ribbon. There was an accusation in the earlier post’s comments that the Farbenmix fabrics were not of high quality, so I tested them myself. I cut and machine-laundered and machine-dried 10″ swatches of each print. They didn’t fade one bit as far as I could tell, and a normal amount of shrinkage (2-5% lengthwide and barely any widthwise). They are a lovely medium-weight 100% cotton and were beautifully soft after laundering. See pictures of the laundered swatches alongside the unwashed yardage on Flickr. Apparently there are some knockoffs of these fabrics going around, so maybe that is what the commenter received.

I have to say I love the colors of LoveChirp, but the Tatookids is a close second. My 7 yo would love it!
I really like the birds and the mushrooms. LoveChirp looks a bit more sophisticated but i would go for Fliepis: perfect match with the ribbon!

All of them are beautiful. But I especially like “hamburger liebe”
