Iman Home Collection at Calico Corners

I’ve been on a quest to better understand home dec fabrics so I can cover them more here. This led me to revisiting my local Calico Corners, which I remember being full of standard-issue stripes, damasks, and toiles in standard-issue jewel tones. Either they have moved their brand in a fresher, more modern direction, or I’ve just developed a keener eye (or both), because I was impressed with their offerings this time. They will be producing several celebrity lines, the first of which (available now) is from supermodel Iman. I’m also excited to show you their newest celebrity collection by Thom Filicia, which will be out next month.

Iman Home is a lush mixture of Indian, Indonesian, African, and Turkish influences, and features a blend of printed, woven, chenille, and embroidered designs. It comes in four colorways — my favorite fabrics from the “Luna” colorway are shown here.

Oh beautiful. Thanks for the link to these!

Dear Kim, you have an observant eye–and yes, Calico Corners has been getting more fashion forward the past couple of years. The stores have changed their merchandising strategy so that while there are fewer large bolts of fabric in the stores, there are many more large hanging samples mini-bolts that can be ordered and shipped within one business day. Most fabrics are now stocked in depth in their warehouse. It’s enabled Calico to add more new fabrics more frequently, so that you’re likely to find something fabulous for your home. Happy decorating!
