Organic Prints by Volksfaden

{ Linked Birds in gold by Heather Moore }

German fabric shop Volksfaden has released its own collection of organic cotton prints, designed by an impressive roster of international design stars: Heather Moore (Skinny Laminx), Jane Foster, Hitomi Kimura (Kalla Textile Design) and Ellen Giggenbach, Sandra Monat, and Volksfaden owner Linda Gaylord. The fabrics are 53″ wide poplin or 52″ wide plain weave, GOTS certified organic cotton, and printed with vegetable dyes. Vegetable dyes offer a very limited color palette, but look at the wonderful things Linda and the designers have accomplished.

{ Dahlia Dots in Raspberry by Volksfaden }

{ Daisy Apples in blue by Volksfaden }

{ Marigold in olive by Volksfaden }

{ Butterflies in gold by Ellen Giggenbach }

{ Turtles in pink by Jane Foster }

{ Mari in green by Hitomi Kimura }

{ What I Wore by Sandra Monat of Herzensart }

Most of the fabrics come in two colorways and there are some coordinating dots, too — see them all here.
