I knew there were Kaffe Fassett Collective home dec sateens and laminates out, but this came as a surprise to me today. Each fabric type will only be available in a pattern or two each (with each pattern in a few colorways), but hopefully this launch will be a success and we’ll see lots more designer apparel fabrics down the road.

It’s so exciting to see that apparel fabrics are getting some love! I hope other designers and manufacturers hop on this trend and start creating beautiful fabrics for those of us who sew clothing.
These would make some beautiful garments.
I love Kaffe Fassett Collective’s designs. I’ve used their cottons for lots of quilting projects. Now I’m going to have to act on my intention to take up garment sewing if for no other reason than to use these gorgeous fabrics!
I don’t think I would wear any of these particular designs, but there are lots of designers I would love to see in apparel weight fabrics.
