Reminder: Digital Fabric Printing on PR Tonight!

Really, really looking forward to tonight’s episode, and anticipating what will happen when millions of people are introduced to digital textile printing for the first time. (If you’re a feed subscriber and not seeing the video, come see it here or watch it on the Lifetime website.)

  1. Oh, thank you for posting about this, I can’t wait to watch! This is exciting. I happened to pick of a knitting magazine and found one of the past project runway designers in it, that was neat to see.

  2. Kristen says:

Eeek! I’m so excited, what an awesome idea for a challenge! Sadly, I’ll have to wait until Saturday when they post it online since I don’t have cable. Patience, patience… =)

  3. Hillary says:

what’d you think?! I was disappointed they didn’t say what type of fabric it was they were printing on. or anything about whether or not the color printed out as they’d expected. I can’t believe they only had 1 hour to design something. do you think they give them a tutorial on how to use the software first? and what software was that?!

  4. Nancy says:

I was also wondering what you thought! Personally, I was impressed with the interface–the way they could use paint brushes to literally “paint” the screens.

I also thought it was interesting that one designer’s print turned out just how he wanted, although the paper-printed version didn’t (I could only assume there was a bit of behind the scenes “fixing” when they went to make the fabric.)
