Digital Fabric of the Week: Art School Dropout

{ Monsters on the Loose }

{ Monster Scallop }

Art School Dropout’s designs in the Spoonflower Marketplace caught my eye, and it led me to her web shop. Designer/proprietress Jessee Maloney founded Art School Dropout in 2003 making handcast plastic jewelry, embroidered bags, and other goods and accessories. I’m really fond of her Monster fabric collection, featuring friendly, modern, graphic space-invader-inspired creatures in compelling boy, girl, and gender-nonspecific colorways. I just love the thought of a little girl’s room decked out in the pinks.

Art School Dropout is on maternity leave at the moment, but promises to be back soon. In the meanwhile you have several purchasing options other than Spoonflower — you can also find her on Etsy and have her designs printed on several kinds of productions via Zazzle.
