Spring Quilt Market 2009: Timeless Treasures
This post is part of a series reporting on the Spring 2009 International Quilt Market by True Up East Coast Stringer Mary Beth of Supafine.
My favorites from Timeless Treasures? the practically-breathing prints of Luli Sanchez.

I mean, come on. Parakeets (seen here in a West Elm pillow cover) and goldfish? Love.
Also from Timeless Treasures is Karen Snyder’s sweet feedsack line, Sweetpea, a collection in pink, blue, and yellow, featuring a big dress cheater print (see it in the skirt of the dress below). Very cute.
And finally, previewed here on True Up: Brooklyn designer Alice Kennedy’s Apple (an earthy, 70s feel), Kiwi (sharp and bright large-scale florals), and Strawberry Field (hot pink and orange prints), as well as Indigo (blue! Surprisingly). Good solid two-tones and a big blank space in my camera where a photo ought to be. Way to mercilessly document THAT series, Fabric Reporter Self!

I’m in love with the parakeets! Does anyone know when/where I would be able to purchase them?
Timeless Treasures only does wholesale; they don’t sell directly to consumers. They do have a shop locator or you could try searching some of the online fabric shops.
I believe it’s coming out in October.
The “parakeets” look like Aussie budgies (budgerigars)- a very common pet bird that is actually native here.
What a really lovely idea for a fabric design
