Spring Quilt Market 2009: OPPs Part II

flowersugarlecien

Lecien’s Flower Sugar collection, up for grabs on Pink Chalk Studio

Pink Chalk Kathy shows all her favorite pattern designers’ booths. You definitely want to get in on her HUGE giveaway.

Melanie from Above All Fabric writes about partying with Moda on a riverboat and drooling over Laura Gunn’s booth.

Jessica Levitt (Juicy Bits) has her first post in a series up. She shopped around her fabric line at Market, so I hope there’s good news to come!

Nancy from Sewing Secrets (Coats & Clark’s new blog) talks about their booth and the favorite products and fabrics they spotted. An automatic bias binding machine? Yes please!

Laura of Spool Sewing met Amy Butler, saw the new patterns, and learned that Amy’s upcoming fabric line will be called Love.

Cynthia (Fabric Worm) has shots of Heather Ross’ Kokka booth, and some lovely quilts made with the new Michael Miller collections.

Heather Ross road-tripped to QM with Denyse Schmidt, hung out with Oliver + S, and OMG LIBERTY HAS A NEW U.S. DISTRIBUTOR AND A COLLECTION OF LOWER PRICED QUILTING COTTONS.

Mary (Confessions of a Craft Addict)’s first market overview taught me, amongst other things, that Brandon Mably (of the Kaffe Fassett Collective) is extremely tall.

Little Golden Book fabrics

Jona (Fabritopia)’s second post covers the not-Fabric-2.0 party, and OMG LITTLE GOLDEN BOOK FABRICS.

Genevieve Gail is rocking the quilt market posts: her own booth; Bari J., Patty Young, Paula Prass; the tweet-up; the quilts.

Suppose Quilt Boutique has tons of wonderful pictures and breaks it down like this: day 1 (featuring some heart-achingly beautiful shots of Amish Country), day 2 (schoolhouse wonders and sample spree), day 3 (see the most amazing quilt in the universe), day 4 (featuring Oliver + S). (Thanks Shear Delight for the tip!)

Bari J. shows her favorite sewing patterns and fabric designers, inspiration-board style.

Jen of ReannaLily Designs has a birds-eye view of the market, and managed to look away from the fabric long enough to enjoy the city.
