Fall Quilt Market 2009: Riley Blake (With Giveaway!)
Bloom and Grow by My Mind’s Eye (top) and detail of coordinates (bottom)
Riley Blake stormed onto the scene earlier this year and became an instant hit. I got to meet owner Cindy Cloward, who showed me all their new offerings.
Many of their designers have roots in the scrapbooking and paper crafts industries. My Mind’s Eye, for instance, have designed most of Riley Blake’s catalog. Bloom and Grow (October release) is above — love those simple geometrics! They also have Wheels (Jan/Feb 2010), Andrea Victoria (Feb/March 2010), and Summer Song (March/April 2010), shown below.
Below, Boo to You and Colorful Christmas, also by My Mind’s Eye, are the holiday collections slated for a 2010 release.
And next, we have Nantucket by Jody Taylor (note the basket weave print), Felicity by Emily Taylor. I’m not sure about release dates on those two. Below those, it’s Rainy Days and Mondays by Melimba and Beccabury (Feb/March 2010).
Last but not least, here is Sublime by Doohickey Designs, which will be in stores this November. And see that fat quarter pack? That’s up for grabs here today. Just leave a comment telling which current or future Riley Blake collection sings to you most. (You can click on the images to see the bigger version.) I will draw a winner randomly next Wednesday, October 21, around 9am Central U.S. time. This giveaway is open worldwide. And stay tuned for lots more quilt market giveaways as coverage continues!

Unlucky number one? Love the Andrea Victoria… but I’m a sucker for yellow and grey combinations. Great overview… what fun to have a sneak peek at these!
Really? Just one favorite? I really like the Summer Song and Rainy Days and Mondays. They are ALL gorgeous though! Thanks for a chance to win!
Bloom and Grow, for sure–especially the two colorways on the right. That floral is gorgeous.
I think Sublime…. it’s a little offbeat.
I am already dreaming up dresses for spring using the Andrea Victoria collection.
Maybe it’s just because we’re getting close to the holidays, but I’m really loving Boo to You and Colorful Christmas!
I’m really liking Colorful Christmas – some of the coordinates seem like they could work for non-Christmassy things
I want it all! I really like “Wheels” since its hard to find cute boys stuff.
I like Bloom and Grow. I love the name and the colors in the brown collection are so rich and deep.
Beautiful fabrics!
Oh, the Andrea Victoria in the amber and grey colorway!
I love Riley Blake!! I’d say either of the holiday lines, or Rainy Day!
I am loving the grey and greenish neutrals in all the collections. Andrea Victoria is my fave tho.
I’m having a very hard time deciding between Bloom and Grow and Colorful Christmas, so I’ll pick Colorful Christmas. At least you didn’t make us choose a colorway, too!
Thanks for all the pictures
That Andrea Victoria is bee-you-tee-ful. Can’t wait for it!
Hmmmm…it’s a toss up between those groovy umbrellas and the grey and yellow Andrea Victoria colorway. Gorgeous all.
Rainy Days for me, I love those little umbrellas!
I love all of these lines and I’m dying to get them!! I love Bloom and Grow! And I love the current All-stars line – they are all beautiful though! Thanks for offering the giveaway!
Wow–love Bloom and Grow!
Ooh, I am totally getting my grubby paws on the bloom and grow! So great for kid quilts. (I promise to wash my hands first, to those who are horrified by the idea of grubby hands on beautiful new fabric
)
I love Summer song – can’t wait to see these in person.
Thanks for the great updates!
Wow. the Andrea Victoria is brilliant! I can’t wait for it to hit stores.
oh my gosh, they are all so cute! love the summer song!!
I love Andrea Victoria! The colours are beautiful and I can definitely see myself buying lots of it!
Rainy days is adorable, but I can find uses for all of them!!!
Definitely Bloom & Grow! Although Felicity is a very close second.
Love the Andrea Victoria! The colors are stunning!
I adore the Rainy Days and Mondays collection! It’s so whimsical & fun
The “wheels” one is super cute.
Definately bloom & grow because of the more universal color pallet. (you could use it in a family room) Summer Song is a close second, I love the prints only need so many prints in those colors since I have two boys and not any rooms decorated very feminine. I like sublime also! So much for naming just one!
Wow…I love everything…but “Bloom & Grow” would have to be my Riley Blake favorite! I love it in all three colorways as well!
They’re all so gorgeous but I think Summer Song stands out most to me
Tough choice for me between Sublime and Rainy Days and Mondays. So many cute prints!
Bloom and Grow – I’m loving the flowers, but Andrea Victoria is such a close second. I might have to buy both!
I also love the colorful Christmas. I just ordered some Be Merry and love that as well.
Thank you, thank you! I stalled out decorating my MBR… I have a burgundy velvet headboard and I want pale blue walls. I asked my mother for help, and she and I have been at a standstill b/c she insists that color scheme is destined to be patriotic (which is not my style.) I think Bloom and Grow is my solution for pairing the colors with panache. I’m also going to do up my sons’ room in the stars. I guess that’s a little more towards the patriotic after all
I love Rainy days and Mondays, but Summer Songs and Wheels would probably be on my purchase list too!
Hi there…. Wheels and Summer Song are my picks. Wheels coz it is rare that you find great fabric suited to boys. And Summer Song coz I am a sucker for a bright and beautiful floral.
Thanks for the give away and a great site full of awesome information.
Wow! These are lovely! If I had to pick one favorite, it would be Summer Song
I fell in love with Bloom and Grow the instant I laid eyes on it. I am beside myself with excitement waiting for it to come! I would love to see sublime in person!
Ooh, what a great giveaway! As a mom of a toddler boy, I have to go with the Wheels as a favorite, because it’s nice to have boy-friendly prints.
Though I also love that umbrella print (Summer Song?).
I love the Summer Song, and the Sublime lines. Those holiday prints are also fabulous..uh oh, I may be in trouble! Thanks for the giveaway and the market report!
Boo To You FTW! If I could have Halloween 10 months out of the year I’d be a happy girl (only 10 – because if it was 12 it wouldn’t be as special anymore lol)
Loving the Andrea Victoria…quiet and lovely.
summer song is singing to me! How can I resist those wonderful colors?
Thanks for doing the giveaway!
How does one pick a favourite – they are all amazing!!! I think though I am partial to the Grow and Bloom or the Colorful Christmas – both so different from one another – but eek – I love them!!!
I love Bloom and Grow esp pink and blue colorway.
Bloom & grow, I think, though all are luscious!
My favorite is the Bloom and Grow in the brown/orange pallett! I’m also in love with Sublime with that wonderful polka dot pattern! Thanks for such awesome sneak peeks and a chance to win!
Bloom and Grow is my fav of the ones pictured- Love the brown background.
Finally… someone does a cute boys collection. I need me some “Wheels”!! And maybe some of everything else…
