Japanese Fabric of the Week: Spicy Scrap by Lecien

I can’t get over how great this collection is. I love how the designer didn’t shy away from bold, contrasty colors that ring true to the 40s-50s. You might remember it from Quilt Market coverage — well now it’s available in the shops. Look for “sushi rolls” if you’d like an affordable precut pack of all the prints. When you’re googling, be sure to look for “Spaicy Scrap” and “Spicy Scrap” both, since Lecien spelled it “Spaicy” on the selvedges and on some of the promotional materials.

Thanks to Cynthia of Fabricworm for sending me a few of the teal prints! Hopefully I’ll be able to round out my collection. I want them all!
