Giveaway: This and That From Japan
This and That From Japan on Etsy offers a wonderful range of Japanese fabrics and craft supplies, straight from Japan! Owner Lisa, an expatriate originally from Hawaii, provides a one-stop shop for designer Japanese fabrics (like Shinzi Katoh, Decole, and Cozy Tomato), Sanrio character fabrics, and cotton and cotton-linen blend prints from Kokka and other manufacturers.
Lisa is offering three $25 gift certificates that can be used to buy fabrics from her cotton and cotton linen blend sections. To enter, visit her shop, then come back here and leave a comment letting us know your favorite fabric you saw there. The comments will be closed one week from today, Monday, Feb. 23 at noon CST, and afterwards Lisa will choose the three winners and set them up with their prize.

Lisa also provides a special shipping rate for large orders (from small businesses, sewing groups, or individuals) of $30 for about four pounds of fabric. The yardage just depends on the weight of the fabric but she has sent up to 13 yards of fabric this way. Again, complete the checkout process with Etsy but don’t pay, and note “Special Shipping” in the “notes to seller” box and she will send a new invoice. She will also let you know how much fabric you can add to make maximum use of the weight.

It was really hard to choose between Glittery Mushrooms or Glittery Elephants, so both of them have to be my favorite. I just love the colors in the prints!

i was browsing the site with my 28 months old by my shoulder and she said, mummy, lookie, elephant!. we LOVE the colorful elephant, and the robots, and the hedgehogs, and the giraffe..ok ok i’ll stop now..
I loved the Japanese Fabric B with the cute little bees on it. I would say the hedgehogs but I just brought some of that a couple of weekends ago.

It’s almost impossible to choose, though as a quilter I prefer the 100% cottons. I love animals in the woods and the whole line of fairytale silhouette fabrics!

Oh dear, look at all that awesome fabric! Its enough to make me swoon. Anyway, my favorite is the Japanese Floral Print – Blue. Too fabulous!
Wow, it’s almost impossible to pick. But I really liked Tea Time, Choco en Chocolat, and Hippos, Elephants, and Zebras (that’s one print). Oh — and the robot prints are really cute too!!

Wow, great etsy site… love Japanese prints and ‘This and That’ has many I hadn’t seen before. I love the linen/cotton blends… so many cute ones. My favorites: the ‘Pig Outing’ with the pig holding the umbrella and ‘Underwater’ with the 3 different sizes of fish preying on each other. Will definitely be shopping there!
